Mark Stewart scored twice as Falkirk condemned Division One leaders Raith to only their second league loss away from home this season with a 2-1 triumph.
Raith had the better of the first-half chances at the Falkirk Stadium but Craig Wilson`s header and Gregory Tade`s long-distance shot were off target.
The home side took the lead against the run of play seven minutes before the break when Stewart fired past Rovers keeper Andrew McNeil from inside the area.
Their lead lasted until the 74th minute when top scorer John Baird netted his 13th of the season for John McGlynn`s men from 12 yards.
Five minutes later, Stewart netted his and Falkirk's second after collecting Jack Compton`s pass on the right and shooting from inside the area.
Steven Pressley`s men had further chances to score and just before the final whistle substitute Ryan Flynn hit the post.
