Falkirk stunned Rangers with a late equaliser to disrupt their Champions League build-up.
Daniel McBreen headed in an Alan Gow cross with just 13 minutes left to give the newly-promoted side an unlikely point.
Rangers had led through a Nacho Novo penalty seven minutes from half-time after Thomas Buffel had been pulled back by Tiago Rodrigues.
Rangers dominated in terms of possession but did little to threaten Matt Glennon in the home goal.
Buffel should have scored early on when he was clear at the back post but guided his volley wide of goal.
Hamed Namouchi then saw a shot blocked by Rodrigues, but for all the possession Rangers had they were frustrated by Falkirk's in-depth defending.
Gow had a chance to equalise shortly before half-time but he over-ran the ball and Ronald Waterreus was able to save comfortably.
Rangers brought on Francis Jeffers for his debut in the second half and he was denied by a great save by Glennon late on.
But Falkirk were not discouraged and kept sweeping forward with Gow and Neil Scally prepared to run at the Rangers defence.
But it was the introduction of McBreen that swung things their way, and he was in the right place at the right time to nudge a header past Waterreus from 10 yards after a great Gow cross.
Rangers pressed for the winner but could not come up with much. Dado Prso just failed to get his head to a cross in front of goal, and Barry Ferguson's stinging shot was brilliantly blocked by Glennon.
