Bairns back on track
Falkirk got their promotion bid back on track after successive Ladbrokes Championship defeats with a 1-0 home victory over Raith.
Veteran striker Lee Miller struck the only goal of the game with 19 minutes remaining when he slotted home Lewis Kidd's pass to help Falkirk climb into second place, replacing Morton who lost to Dumbarton
Raith threatened first with Craig Barr unlucky to see his ninth-minute effort hit the crossbar, but it was visiting goalkeeper Pavol Penksa who was kept busiest as he produced saves to deny Bob McHugh, John Baird and Fraser Aird before the break.
Home keeper Robbie Thomson did well to keep out Chris Johnston's effort in the second half but Falkirk were soon back on the attack and almost snatched the lead when McHugh smashed an effort against the bar.
It was beginning to look as though it was not going to be the Bairns' day, but Miller pounced in the 71st minute to snatch the points and a place in the top two.
