Falkirk striker Tam McManus has returned to training, however a lack of games is likely to keep him out.
Manager Steven Pressley want his side to show that they have recovered from Saturday's dismal 3-0 home loss to Queen of the South.
Partick Thistle assistant manager Ian Maxwell: "I am not looking at recent results for any clue to how this game will go.
"If you look at the three meetings between the sides this season there has been a draw and one win each, which tells you how tight this game will be.
"A trip to St Johnstone in the next round is up for grabs and we want to be making it."
Falkirk manager Steven Pressley: "We have a quick chance to get going again and we fully intend to take it although it will be difficult against a Partick Thistle side that seem to have found their best form of the season.
"I held my hands up after the game on Saturday and hopefully there will be a positive reaction after such a disappointing day."
