Rovers hope to welcome back defender Craig Wilson, who missed draw with Partick Thistle through illness.
But Dougie Hill, Stephen Simmonds and on-loan Hearts striker Jamie Mole are all expected to sit out through injury.
Falkirk manager Steven Pressley: "We have worked hard on keeping the players' fitness levels up during this cold period and now it is time to get back to winning games.
"We were ahead in that game and lost out, but there were signs against Stirling that things were really beginning to fall into place for us.
"If we get back to that level of performance in this game, I will be pleased."
Raith Rovers manager John McGlynn: "Falkirk away is one the biggest games of the season and one I am really looking forward to it.
"A win would get us back into at least second place and that would be a great place to start in the new year."
