Falkirk V Hamilton at Falkirk Stadium - Match Preview

Accies add McShane to travelling party

Falkirk will be without goalkeeper Michael McGovern for the visit of Hamilton.

McGovern is on international duty with Northern Ireland while Kieran Duffie is away with the Scotland Under-21 squad.

However, Stephen Kingsley and Jay Fulton are both fit and available after returning unscathed from two games with the national Under-19 team.

Falkirk technical director Alex Smith is looking forward to the game.

"Our recent Scottish Cup tie with Hamilton was widely discussed as being a great game of football and I am sure this one will be a cracker as well," said Smith.

"We want to be going into our Scottish Cup semi-final with Hibs in a fortnight on the back of a good run of form, starting with a win over Hamilton."

Jon McShane comes back into the Hamilton squad.

The striker has recovered from injury, leaving just Kieran Millar (knee) as the only absentee.

With no win in the last eight meetings with Falkirk, Accies boss Billy Reid is looking for an upturn in fortunes against the Bairns.

He said: "Falkirk are a side that we have carried no luck against in the past couple of years, but last week Partick Thistle won at our place for the first time in nine games so these runs end.

"I am happy with how we are playing, apart from in the final third of the pitch where we are not converting our chances. If we can start doing that then we will start winning games."
