Accies get skipper boost

Falkirk are again without injured strike duo Sean Higgins and David Weatherston against Hamilton.

Trialist Robbie Neilson has now played in three games and will not be able to feature against the Accies unless a permanent deal is agreed.

The Bairns will once again include youngsters Thomas Grant and Conor McGrandles in their squad.

Technical director Alex Smith said: "We know that we have to start turning decent performances into wins at home and this would be a great game to do it.

"We played well at Livingston last Saturday and put in a very strong second-half showing. If we can start off like that against Hamilton and then keep it going we will do well."

Hamilton skipper Alex Neil returns from a three-game ban.

However, Billy Reid's side are again without the injured trio of Stephen Hendrie, Jon McShane and Kieran Millar, and Michael Devlin a major doubt after picking up an ankle injury during the week.

"We are beginning to look like a side that are hard to beat," said Accies boss Reid ahead of the trip. "Having Alex back is great as he is our most experienced player, although the boys did really well in the last two games in his absence.

"I watched Falkirk last week at Livingston and they were very good in the second half so we need to play well."
