Flynn still out for Falkirk
Jonny Flynn (ankle) is not yet ready to return for Falkirk following an ankle injury as they host Dunfermline in what is always a competitive encounter between the sides in the 'Kincardineshire Derby'.
Jay Fulton is a doubt after sustaining a knock when Livingston were beaten 3-0 at the weekend with technical director Alex Smith keen for the Bairns to keep their six-game unbeaten run going.
Smith said: "Dunfermline are showing a lot of spirit and they did really well to come back and win at Stenhousemuir after being behind. We need to play as well as we did against Livingston to get through."
Dunfermline head to the Falkirk Stadium with midfielder Chris Kane available after a one-game ban with manager Jim Jefferies asking his side to show the same resilience that saw them come back from three goals down to defeat Stenhousemuir 5-4 on Saturday.
Jefferies said: "We never played badly but we lost bad goals and ended up three down at one stage.
"We showed a great deal of resilience to get back into the game and we will need to show that same level against a Falkirk side that have started the season well.
"If we do that and cut the defensive mistakes out we are in with a chance."
