Vaulks set for speedy return
Falkirk defender Will Vaulks could make a return ahead of schedule when Dumbarton visit the Bairns.
The former Tranmere youngster was expected to be out for three weeks with a knee injury, however he could return against the Sons and his availability is welcome as David McCracken will miss out with a hamstring problem.
Ollie Durojaiye remains absent with a foot problem with technical director Alex Smith telling the Falkirk players to be wary.
"Dumbarton have had inconsistent results, however they have been strong away from home," he explained. "They can hit you fast and hard on the break and we need to be ready for that."
Dumbarton, who won at the Falkirk Stadium twice last season, will have a make-shift look as the suspended Colin Nish heads a list of six players who are unavailable to manager Ian Murray.
Scott Smith picked up an ankle knock this week and he joins Nicky Phinn (calf), Scott Agnew (groin), Steven McDougall (ankle) and Hugh Murray (ankle) in being ruled out.
Murray said: "We have a few missing but we have a strong squad and we will be looking to win. We lost 4-1 to Dundee last weekend but there were positives to take from the game.
"If we build on them we can get another decent result at Falkirk."
