Falkirk captain Darren Dods returns to Steven Pressley's squad following suspension for the visit of an Airdrie side that sit two places above them in the table.
Midfielder Jay Fulton is the only absentee due to a knee injury and Falkirk's technical director Alex Smith has called on his players to grab the win that will see them leapfrog the Diamonds.
Smith said: "We've not been getting the results we deserve, but if we win this one we'll move up the table and get a bit more confidence about the place.
"We're starting games really well, but then switching off and if we can get out of that habit we can get back to winning ways."
Airdrie will be without recent signing Jack Boyle as the Jersey-born player is struggling with a knock.
The Diamonds, fading fast after a bright start to life in the Irn-Bru First Division, will also be without Scott Sally though injury and suspended full-back Marc Warren.
Manager Jimmy Boyle said: "We did not play well against Raith Rovers last week and have now lost three consecutive games, but we cannot feel sorry for ourselves.
"We need to go out and work hard against Falkirk and look to put things right that way.
"Runs of losing games can drain confidence, so the sooner you stop one the better and while Falkirk will be a tough contest it's a game we are looking to take something from."
