The Bairns are Back in the SPL.

Yes at last, Falkirk are back where they should be in the Scottish Premier League.

Ryan McStay scored the only goal of the game, but it was enough to beat Ross County and secure both promotion and the Division one title.

Second place Clyde could only manage a draw at Perth and are 16 points adrift of the Bairns.

Falkirk have had a hard struggle in trying to get into the SPL, previously having been refused entry due to the 10.000 seat Stadium rule.

Player-manager John Hughes was ecstatic and said: "It's a great achievement for the boys and the board of directors.

"We've had some great times at Brockville, but to move to the new stadium and win promotion in our first season makes it all the more pleasing."

Here’s hoping the Fans who were out in force today will come along and buy a season ticket for next Season.

At least the Falkirk pubs will be doing a roaring trade tonight and we look forward to some massive hangovers tomorrow.
